There is simmering tension between some officials of the Ga State and
the Ashanti kingdom as the Mpaboahene (Chief in-charge-of footwear) of
the Ashanti king is demanding an apology from the Ga Wulomor for making
disparaging comments about him.
Nuumo Blafo in an interview with Ultimate FM
on recent
developments in Accra, asked residents of the capital city to
respect the traditions of the Ga people since: “People even respect the
Mpaboahene of their hometowns” .

on recentEven though Nuumo Blafo who is also the spokesperson for the AMA failed to mention any name, the Otumfuo’s Mpaboahene appears to have been angered by the comments.
In reaction, Nana Yaw Owusu asked Nimo Blafo to withdraw the comment and apologise or be hit with a court action.
“That Wulomor or whatever his name is; can go public on any issue
affecting the Ga state. I think I will be less concerned about that.
"If you are making a point and you make reference to a chief you don’t know or a chief whose traditional duties you don’t know, then it is in bad taste.
“ .….The respect that he was talking about, we don’t buy respect from the market, respect is earned or commanded but if a chief continues to comment in public on matters that he has no knowledge of and out of his uneducated imagination makes a comment the way he did, I think it’s absurd and I want him to retract and apologise,” he demanded.
