‘I don’t care who wins Talensi seat’ – MP turned chief

The Member of Parliament turned chief Robert Nachinab Doameng Mosore has said he does not mind which party wins the Talensi seat after a by-election.

According to him, his current status goes beyond politics and the unhealthy competition that comes with it.

The Talensi seat was declared vacant by the speaker of Parliament Tuesday after Mosore officially informed the House of his new status.

He has been installed the paramount chief of the Tolon traditional area.

Speaking to Kasapa FM Wednesday, Mosore said he believes the New Patriotic Party; the party on whose ticket he served in the House, will find a way to contest the seat without his support.

He, nonetheless, said he will be willing to work with anyone who emerges winner after the by-election regardless of the political background of the person.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission is yet to set a date for a by-election to replace the former member of the lawmaking chamber.
