It was a big weekend for Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor at his homeland Togo.

The Soccer star came back home after a series of touching and revealing posts on social media about his family, to lead his Togolese National team to face Liberia and to host a two-days charity concert, and indeed the weekend ended with all missions well accomplished.
The tall
striker scored a winning goal in the second half to clench a 2-1 win
for Togo against Liberia in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers
and got whole the of Lome jamming in the evening and brought joy and
excitement to the City of Lome as he hosted his SEA Foundation Festival.
The
two -day festival kicked off on Saturday, June 13 at the
Marcelo Beach with beach soccer, music, fun and games. The festival was
then climaxed on Sunday with a huge concert at Stade Municipal De Lome
with memorable performances from Ghana’s Highlife Bisa Kdei and Ghanaian
comedian Funny Face as well as Kumawood comic actor Salinko.
Wizkid
and female Singer Lola Rae represented Nigeria to the fullest on stage,
as well as Ivory Coast’s Serge Beynaud, and a host of top
Togolese artists including Tach Noir, Snaky da Future, NIA, Almok and
Dieudonné Willa. The event was hosted by popular Togolese comedian,
Gogoligo and Gbadamassi.The concert attracted thousands who filled the mini stadium in spite of a heavy rain just before the concert started.
The after party happened in Adebayor’s plush residence inside a state of the art night club in his house where Ghana’s Captain Asamoah Gyan, his brother Baffour Gyan and his entire crew made a surprise appearance after a 7-1 win against Mauritius earlier on Saturday afternoon.
The festival is part of SEA Foundation’s initiative to raise awareness for its projects and the work it’s currently doing. Part of the funds raised will go towards projects that SEA Foundation is supporting.
The SEA Foundation was set up in 2014 to bring together Adebayor's various philanthropic endeavours. He has been involved in government initiatives and development projects in Togo for several years, as well as acting as an ambassador for the health and education charity Vision Togo.
